About Cena Restaurant and Bar

Cena is a bistro-style restaurant and bar offering fine food - including a weekly special entrée feature - and a stellar selection of wine, beer, and spirits.

Located in historic downtown Appleton, Wisconsin, Cena Restaurant and Bar features exposed brick walls, wood flooring, and a pressed tin ceiling. The building was designed by famed Wisconsin architect William Waters.

Our kitchen is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5pm to 9pm - Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 10pm.

Reservations are recommended for groups of 6 or more. Please phone us at (920) 830-7820. An 18% gratuity is added when serving parties of 8 or larger.

Oyster Mushrooms Mignonette Deep-fried prosecco-battered oyster mushrooms with house-made mignonette sauce and toasted sesame seeds.

Braised Pork Croquettes Deep-fried and served with red pepper aïoli, old-style mustard, and herbs.

Flatbread Appetizer Chef's choice of fresh ingredients. Pictured... cream sauce, Nueske's bacon, chicken, white cheddar cheese, shredded carrot, pappadew, and spicy aïoli.

Mussels Served in andouille sausage, garlic, butter, and white wine sauce with cherry tomatoes and cilantro.

House-Made Chicken Liver Pâté Served on crostini with pickled onion, candied pecans, cornichons, peppadews, and old-style mustard.

Spaghetti Carbonara With guanciale, duck egg, pepper, house-cured duck egg yolk, and Parmesan cheese.

Milk-Braised Veal Shank With creamy cannellini beans, mirepoix, pan gravy, and toasted herb bread crumb.

Seared Sea Scallops With smoked corn, white cheddar, and pepper risotto, caramelized Brussels sprouts, and beurre blanc.

House-Made Ricotta Gnocchi With wild mushroom and herb cream sauce, toasted pecans, and fried sage leaves.

Chicken Fricassee Skin-on chicken breast in a stew of crimini mushrooms, fingerling potatoes, roasted red peppers, fresh herbs, and crème fraîche.
